Laxman Shahi serves as Vice President of DEPO, bringing over two decades of experience in the development sector, with a strong focus on collaboration with Japanese organizations. His work reflects a deep understanding of international cooperation and the practical application of disaster risk reduction approaches, particularly those aligned with Japanese “Bosai” practices.

At DEPO, he leads engagement with international partners, especially Japanese counterparts, and provides strategic guidance in shaping plans, policies, and organizational direction. He also supports program implementation, ensuring that activities are informed by tested practices and adapted to local contexts, thereby strengthening the quality and effectiveness of DEPO’s initiatives.
