Jagannath Kandel

Jagannath Kandel serves as Program Director at DEPO, bringing over a decade of experience in disaster education, particularly in working with schools and communities. He has led and supported school-based resilience initiatives, including his role as a program officer for community resilience projects, and has extensive experience in delivering training on disaster risk reduction, as well as organizing workshops and outreach events.

At DEPO, he oversees program and project implementation at both school and community levels, ensuring that activities are practical, engaging, and aligned with local needs. His background as a trainer and facilitator for children and youth programs, along with his exposure to international initiatives and trainings in peacebuilding and first aid, strengthens his ability to design and lead capacity-building efforts.
