Empowering Students as Champions of Disaster Resilience in Tansen

From 27–29 June 2026, DEPO facilitated three days of disaster risk reduction (DRR) education training in Tansen, Palpa. The program focused on strengthening students' disaster preparedness knowledge through practical and interactive learning activities.

Students participated in disaster drills, paper craft games, a landslide-themed Snakes and Ladders game, earthquake awareness picture stories, an emergency kit quiz game, and shuffle card games. These activities were used to make disaster-related concepts practical and memorable for learners.

The program was organized by Tansen Municipality under the School-Based Disaster Risk Reduction Resource Center project, with DEPO Nepal serving as one of the technical partners. The training provided students with practical learning experiences related to disaster awareness and preparedness.
