School Based Disaster Education Resource Center Development

 

DEPO, in collaboration with CITYNET and Plus Arts Creative Center Japan, is supporting the establishment of a School-Based DRR Resource Center in Tansen Municipality, Palpa. A tripartite MoU has been signed among the three partners to develop the resource center and strengthen the capacity of teachers and students in disaster risk reduction.

Within this partnership, DEPO is responsible for facilitating stakeholder orientation, delivering training programs for teachers and students, supporting the development of resource center content in coordination with Plus Arts Creative Center, and guiding the municipality throughout the process. The initial phase has included stakeholder orientation, and the next phase will focus on conducting a Training of Trainers (ToT) for teachers. The development of resource materials will follow, based on the outcomes of the training phase.
