Teachers Training Program

DEPO conducts annual Training of Trainers (ToT) programs for teachers to strengthen disaster risk reduction (DRR) education at the school level. In 2025, with support from Lalitpur Metropolitan City, DEPO implemented a five-day ToT program for 30 teachers from 10 schools. The training combined theoretical sessions with practical exercises and hands-on activities, equipping teachers with the knowledge and skills to integrate DRR into classroom and school-based practices.

Building on this initiative, DEPO plans to continue similar trainings in 2026, along with the handover of DRR educational materials to participating schools to support sustained learning and application.
