Strengthening School Safety Through Teacher Capacity Development in Tarakeshwor

A two-day Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) Education Training on 9–10 July 2026 for 23 teachers from Shree Purano Guheswori Secondary School (SPGS), Tarakeshwor, with the aim of strengthening teachers' capacity to integrate disaster preparedness into everyday teaching and school activities have been conducted. 

Throughout the training, participants enhanced their knowledge and practical skills through a variety of interactive and hands-on learning activities, including disaster drills, first aid demonstrations, facilitation practice, school-based disaster preparedness simulations, the Emergency Kit Quiz Game, Shuffle Card Game, and Earthquake Awareness Picture Story. These participatory learning tools helped transform complex disaster concepts into engaging, practical, and memorable learning experiences that teachers can replicate in their classrooms.
